A caring and talented board-certified pediatric orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Strassberg specializes in pediatric sports and trauma injuries, as well as hip disorders at The Pediatric Orthopedic Center. He is trained in the latest arthroscopic and minimally invasive surgical procedures, including the latest surgical techniques for reconstructing the ACL in the growing child.
The Pediatric Orthopedic Center is the premier New Jersey hub for pediatric orthopedics, with four offices throughout northern New Jersey. Having been the leader in pediatric orthopedics in this area for over 25 years, it is the largest and most award-winning pediatric orthopedic practice in the tri-state area.
The surgical staff has advanced training in the pediatric orthopedic subspecialties of adolescent sports, trauma, spine deformity, hip disorders, cerebral palsy, as well as foot and ankle surgery. They strive to provide the most advanced treatments to get children back to their favorite sports and activities as quickly and safely as possible.
After receiving his undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania, Dr. Strassberg earned his medical degree from New York Medical College, where he also completed his residency in orthopedic surgery. He furthered his training with a fellowship in pediatric orthopedics at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, followed by an additional fellowship in adolescent and young adult hip preservation surgery at Children’s Hospital Boston.
Subsequent to his education, the doctor attained board certification in orthopedic surgery through the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery (ABOS). The ABOS is an organization with the goal of establishing educational and professional standards for orthopedic residents and surgeons as well as evaluating the qualifications and competence of orthopedic surgeons.
In good standing with a number of professional organizations, Dr. Strassberg is an active member of the Pediatric Orthopedic Society of North America, the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons (Fellow), the New Jersey Orthopedic Society, the American Medical Academy, the Medical Society of New Jersey, the Morris County Medical Society, and the Pediatric Research in Sports Medicine Society.
His hospital affiliations include Morristown Medical Center, Overlook Medical Center, Short Hills Surgery Center, NYU Langone Medical Center, and Saint Barnabas Medical Center.
Orthopedic surgery is the branch of surgery concerned with conditions involving the musculoskeletal system.
