As for her academic career, Dr. Kim holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from Yonsei University in Seoul, Korea. Upon relocating to the United States, she went on to obtain her Master of Science in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (MSAOM) from South Baylo University in Anaheim, California. Wanting to further her education, she earned her Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Oriental Medicine from American Liberty University in Newport Beach, California before embarking on her professional journey.
Licensed to practice acupuncture by the California Acupuncture Board, the doctor is certified by the Council of Colleges of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (CCAOM) in Clean Needle Technique. She is also a member of the American Acupuncture Council and a licensed esthetician by the state of California.
