Her acclaimed career in medicine began after she earned her Medical Degree from the University of California, Irvine School of Medicine in 1989. She then went on to perform her residency in family medicine at Adventist Health White Memorial from 1989 until 1992.
As a testament of her continued education, Dr. Garcia is board certified in family medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM). The ABFM is a non-profit, independent medical association of American physicians who practice family medicine and its sub-specialties.
In affiliation with many professional organizations, Dr. Garcia is an active member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, the American Medical Association, the Los Angeles County Medical Association, the California Medical Association, the American Society for Laser Medicine & Surgery, and the Whittier Chamber of Commerce.
With over two decades of experience, she has been on multiple quality review committees and has been associated with the teaching faculty of various residency programs, including USC and PIH.
