She also provides dental outpatient surgery under general anesthesia as a staff member of Texas Children’s Hospital. 

After graduating with her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in Venezuela, she completed a postdoctoral program and residency in pediatric dentistry at the Louisiana State University School of Dentistry in New Orleans, Louisiana. 

With an international reputation as an educator, clinical researcher, writer, and guest lecturer, Dr. Echeverri loves the time she spends meeting families and helping children with their dental needs. She has extensive experience in treating infants, children, adolescents, as well as individuals with special needs. 

Pediatric dentistry is the branch of dentistry dealing with children from birth through adolescence. They have the experience and qualifications to care for a child’s teeth, gums, and mouth throughout the various stages of childhood. 

Once a year, Dr. Elsa and her husband, Dr. Juan Echeverri, participate in medical mission trips with Faith In Practice to provide medical-dental treatment to impoverished patients. They have 3 daughters, 1 son, and 2 Labrador retrievers with whom they love to spend time with.
