Get to know Dentist Daniel C. Block DDS, who serves patients in Forest Hills, New York.

Featuring 25 years of experience, Dr. Block is a seasoned dentist who maintains his own private practice, Metro Smiles Dental, located in Forest Hills, New York. he established his practice in 1992. Dr. Block specializes in general preventative dentistry and emergency dental care. Areas of clinical expertise cover root canals, cleanings, bridges, laser dentistry, CEREC crowns, Invisalign®, teeth whitening, gum surgery, and digital X-rays.

Moreover, he is the owner of Metro Dental Lab, his own commercial lab in NY. To complement his work at Metro Smiles Dental, Dr. Block serves as an international consultant for the development of cutting-edge dental technologies, such as better x-rays and laser systems. A prolific lecturer, he has recently spoken at the World Fair of Dentistry. In the past, he has lectured for Biolase (dental laser systems), Patterson Dental (Cerec CAD/CAM Dentistry), and Schick Technologies (digital X-ray system).

Dr. Block received his undergraduate degree, i.e., his Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology, in 1987 at CUNY Queens College. Having decided to embrace a career in dentistry, he completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the New York University College of Dentistry in 1992. Dr. Block completed his general practice residency at Jamaica Hospital (1992-1993).

Dentistry is the science dealing with the prevention and treatment of diseases and malformations of the teeth, gums, and oral cavity, and the removal, correction, and replacement of decayed, damaged, or lost parts, including such operations as the filling and crowning of teeth, the straightening of teeth, and the construction of artificial dentures.

On a more personal note, Dr. Block speaks both English and Hebrew.
