Dr. Block specializes in general preventative dentistry and emergency dental care. A prolific lecturer, he has recently spoken at the World Fair of Dentistry. Dr. Block received his undergraduate degree, i.e., his Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology, in 1987 at CUNY Queens College. Having decided to embrace a career in dentistry, he completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the New York University College of Dentistry in 1992. Dr. Block completed his general practice residency at Jamaica Hospital (1992-1993).

Dentistry is the science dealing with the prevention and treatment of diseases and malformations of the teeth, gums, and oral cavity, and the removal, correction, and replacement of decayed, damaged, or lost parts, including such operations as the filling and crowning of teeth, the straightening of teeth, and the construction of artificial dentures.

On a more personal note, Dr. Block speaks both English and Hebrew.
