Can acupuncture cure liver problems?
Hello, Unfortunately, I cannot tell you that acupuncture can "cure" liver problems. However, I can tell you that people with liver problems can have fantastic results with liver function. In our training, we do substantial work on improving the liver, both through the use of acupuncture and the addition of herbal and nutritional therapy. Being the most regenerative organ in the body, the liver can mount a mighty comeback once it receives this benefits. I treat a lot of liver conditions in my clinic, it is very common. I also treat a lot of conditions that are due to poor liver functioning, well before a liver disease has been diagnosed. If I were you I would definitely give it a try. READ MORE
Is acupuncture good for sleep apnea?
Good question. I don't know if there is any clinical research showing the benefits of acupuncture for sleep apnea, however, I have seen improvements in it clinically. With Chinese Medicine we look at all the reasons why someone might be having it: weight gain, obstructed nasal passageways, alcohol dependency, etc. It won't resolve over night but can definitely improve over time. Hope you decide to try it. READ MORE

Where are acupuncture needles placed for vertigo?
Needle placement always depends on the style of practice of the practitioner. Commonly, you might have needles placed in your hands and feet, around the knees or ankles, and perhaps some on your head. Some practitioners use special styles that are different from the standard 12 channels, and they might use only a certain area, instead of distributing them. You might also receive back needles, which they place along the muscles of your spine and lower legs. READ MORE
Is acupuncture good for nerve damage?
Hard to say, it depends on the case. Many people have relief from nerve damage from MVA, surgery or old injuries, tight muscles, etc. Nerve damage often takes several treatments to fully resolve, so be prepared for a course of treatment, don't expect it to go away in one or two visits. READ MORE

Leg problem after an acupuncture session?
Hello, I'm not sure exactly how to answer your specific complaint, as that isn't a common occurrence with acupuncture. Acupuncture treatments certainly do move energy around and I find that patients may experience some strange or unique sensations shortly after. Usually, these subside within a few days. be sure to mention it to your practitioner at your next appointment, so that they might address the issue directly or have a deeper understanding of your physiology. Good luck. READ MORE
How can acupuncture reduce my mental stress?
Yes, acupuncture is a good tool for reducing the symptoms of stress. Obviously, we cannot make your stress disappear, but we help your body's reaction to stress by freeing blocked energy, clearing heat and inflammation, supporting the metabolic processes that support our daily functions, and calm the mind and nervous systems. First, we have to find out how your body reacts to stress, what it feels like, and then we use our Chinese Medicine skills to figure out how to move things around in your body to make you feel more comfortable. Stress can be like a messy closet, just needs organizing. Or stress can feel like clothes that are too tight, and we have to give your body some room to breathe. The circumstances dictate the style of treatment. Bowel problems, sleep problems, pain and tension, headaches, mental restlessness and mood problems are all stress related conditions where acupuncture works very well. I hope that answers your question. Thank you for inquiring, Erin READ MORE
