Get to know Internist Dr. Keren C. McCarthy, who serves patients in Pennsylvania. 

A well-versed internist, Dr. McCarthy is skilled at diagnosing and treating a large array of ailments and disorders in adults. In the state of Pennsylvania, she is affiliated with Holy Redeemer Hospital & Chestnut Hill Hospital.

Educated in the United States, Dr. McCarthy graduated with her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2010. She then went on to perform her residency in internal medicine at the same educational venue. 

A member of the American Osteopathic Association, she is board-certified in internal medicine by the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine (AOBIM). The AOBIM is an organization that provides board certification to qualified Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine who specialize in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of disease in adults. 

Throughout her line of work, Dr. McCarthy has hospital and community-based practice experience caring for patients aged 16 through adulthood, including geriatric medicine in a community setting and in a skilled care and rehabilitation setting. She also works collaboratively with a team of other physicians, supervises advanced practice providers, as well as enjoys teaching and community outreach. 

Internal medicine is the medical specialty dealing with the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of adult diseases. Physicians specializing in internal medicine are called internists. They manage and prevent common and complex diseases by providing comprehensive care and promoting overall well-being.

Honoring her clinical expertise, Dr. McCarthy is the recipient of Patients’ Choice Award (2018).
