Dr. Nie is a board certified geriatric psychiatrist with diverse experience in clinical, academic, administrative, and business development settings.
Now a lead clinical physician for one of the country’s largest telemedicine companies, she is focused on expanding access to mental health service and treatments. She is also a faculty attending physician within the residency training program at UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine.
Dr. Nie has practiced in most, if not all, possible settings, including: inpatient, outpatient, consultation-liaison, nursing homes, forensics, home visits, and telemedicine. Her experience and passion for mental health advances her interest in developing mental health programs, cultivating quality control structures, and progressing behavioral health education.
Throughout her academic career, Dr. Nie obtained her Medical Degree from Emory University School of Medicine and contributed to research work related to psychosomatic medicine. She then completed her internship and residency in general psychiatry at the said establishment, where she was Chief Resident at Emory University Hospital. Her fellowship in geriatric psychiatry was completed at the University of California San Francisco, UCSF.
