Dr. Yip is a board-certified otolaryngologist whose clinical interests include general otolaryngology and voice and swallowing disorders. She is affiliated with Banner – University Medical Center South and Banner – University Medical Center Tucson. Banner Health is nationally recognized for providing exceptional patient care, teaching future healthcare professionals, and conducting groundbreaking research.
Among her many professional roles, Dr. Yip serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at Banner – University Medical Center Tucson and Southern Arizona VA Medical Center in Tucson, Arizona. Dr. Yip is also the Director of the Voice and Swallowing Center at Banner University Medical Center, which is the only multidisciplinary center with professional singers as clinical voice specialists in Southern Arizona. Dr. Yip’s practice encompasses all aspects of voice and swallowing disorders, including the care of the professional voice, evaluation and treatment of hoarseness, airway narrowing, and difficulty swallowing.
Prior to coming to Arizona, she was an otolaryngologist at the Peninsula Medical Clinic in Burlingame, California.
After earning her medical degree from the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, she went on to complete her residency in otolaryngology – head and neck surgery at the University of California, Davis. Wanting to further her education, she completed a laryngology fellowship at Stanford University.
Shortly after, Dr. Yip became board-certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery, which is a founding member of the American Board of Medical Specialities.
