As a highly-qualified board certified chiropractic expert, Dr. Barnes has over three decades of experience in the field. He is the Owner and Chief Executive Officer of Manasota Accident & Injury Center based in Sarasota, Florida.
With a commitment to betterment, Dr. Barnes has ten years of successful experience as an expert witness regarding chiropractic care, cervical disc, thoracic disc and lumbar disc. He also has extensive experience in establishing practice parameters, best practices, and guidelines for utilization.
Earning his Doctor of Chiropractic Degree from New York Chiropractic College, Dr. Barnes subsequently completed an internship at Levittown Out-Patient Clinic in New York. He began his career by working for a large 4 office chiropractic practice. After 2 years there, he opened a private practice in North Carolina, which he owned and operated for 5 years.
Making people feel better physically and emotionally, Dr. Barnes then served as the Director of the Florida Accident and Injury Center for 16 years, before establishing Manasota Accident & Injury Center.
In affiliation with a professional organization, he is an active member of the American Black Chiropractic Association.
Chiropractic is a form of alternative medicine that mainly deals with the diagnosis and treatment of mechanical disorders of the musculoskeletal system, especially the spine. A chiropractor uses spinal adjustments, manipulation, and other techniques to manage patients’ health concerns, including neck pain, back pain, headaches, vertigo and a long list of other ailments and conditions. They aim to improve patients’ functionality and quality of life by properly aligning the body’s musculoskeletal structure and enabling the body to heal itself naturally, without the use of medication or surgery.
When he is not at work, Dr. Barnes really loves to coach POP Warner football games. He has engaged in several community charitable work, including Meals On Wheels, Foundation for Dreams, and All Pro Dad ( how to be a better father). He is also involved with the Boys to Men Foundation.
His favorite things include hanging out at the pools, listening to the waves on the beach, listening to old school R&B music, working out, and being in nature. His specialty in the cooking arena is baking cookies from scratch and making breakfast.
