  • Can a chiropractor help me with my lower back pain?

Yes. Chiropractic has great results in helping people with lower back pain. http://www.dynamicchiropractic.com/mpacms/dc/article.php?id=55150 READ MORE

  • I have undergone about 5 X-rays in the last 2 months for my spinal problem. Are there any risks?

Radiation is cumulative. So minimize your exposure (pun intended) as much as possible. But a well trained doctor will know when to use the correct imaging and when it is needd. FYI: MRIs are not radiation, they are magnets. READ MORE

  • I am having severe neck pain. What could be the reason?

That's a great question. If it's truly "severe", please present to the hospital or emergency room, especially if there was trauma involved. You should have you neck examined by a qualified medical doctor or chiropractor. An examination needs to take place. They can determine if imaging (X-rays, CT, MRI, etc.) are needed. They can also ask you the correct questions to narrow down to a differential diagnosis and eventually determine the correct diagnosis. READ MORE

  • How can i reduce my pain due to ankle sprain?

For most NEW (Acute) trauma, I recommend ice. Not heat... How do you know it is just sprained and not broken, fractured, avulsed or constused? You should have it examined if your pain is continuing or worsening. Once the correct diagnosis has been established a treatment plan can be created. IF it IS sprained: Chiropractic adjustments to the mis aligned ankle joints should be gently administered. Exercises, stretching, and physical therapy to support the treatment. Sprain injuries can take 6 weeks to 6 months to heal. Longer if you do not do the correct treatments. Most chiropractors are trained to help with this types of injuries. READ MORE

  • Should I see a chiro after a car accident?

It is never too late to see a chiropractor. After 16 years of practice, my oldest patient was 98 years old. You should always be examined after any trauma, either by an MD, DO, DC, or other qualified individual. If your question is more along the lines of: "Is it too late for a car insurance company to pay for the care at a chiropractic office?" Then my answer is: It depends. READ MORE

  • Can a chiropractor relieve muscle pain?

Chiropractic adjustments can improve pain levels, but obviously it depends upon the injury you sustained and you should be thoroughly examined by the appropriate doctor. That being said, chiropractors help with multiple types of injuries. Chiropractic doctors can also help using adjudicative therapies such as interferential current, ice & heat, manual therapy to the injured tissues, ultra sound etc. READ MORE

  • Why does my back crack so much during an adjustment?

The cracking sound you hear is technically called a "cavitation" during a chiropractic adjustment. It comes down to physics. Boyal's Law. Dissolved gas in a joint solution (liquid) of synovial fluid (lubrication for the joint) when the joint is quickly expanded (ie from an adjustment), decreases pressure in the joint and the gas "pops" as it comes out of solution. Sort of like a soda "pop" can. Compressed gas in a can, "pops" as you open it. Does an audible release improve the outcome of a chiropractic adjustment? Short answer is: no. See below research article. https://www.activator.com/category/cavitation/ Just because the joint pops does not mean the bone moved into place. Nor does it mean it moved out of place. However, if you experience pain when you are twisting and moving on your own... it probably did move out of place. Call a licensed chiropractor to examine you. READ MORE

  • Back exercises after adjustments?

First off, whoever gave you that adjustment should have answered this question for you. If they are qualified to do chiropractic adjustments, they should also be able to give you advice to help with exercises. Pelvic tilts, Supermans, Bridges, and Planks are all exercises that are very low to minimal impact to your lower back without compromising and disc bulges, degeneration, or injuries that you may have sustained. There are more advanced exercises, but there are a few basic lower back, core building, supportive exercises that will go well with any type of chiropractic adjustment. READ MORE
