In addition to serving as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, Dr. Marcus is an attending in ophthalmology on staff at Mount Sinai Hospital, Good Samaritan Hospital, Southside Hospital, Suffolk Surgery Center, and the Long Island Ambulatory Surgery Center.

Academically, Dr. Marcus earned his medical degree from NewYork-Presbyterian Weill Cornell Medical Center. He then went on to complete his residencies in internal medicine and ophthalmology at The Mount Sinai Hospital, followed by his fellowship in retinal diseases at Beth Israel Medical Center. He also completed an additional fellowship in retinal diseases at Wilmer Eye Institute.
In order to stay up to date in his field, he remains a member of several professional organizations, including the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology, the American Medical Association, the New York Ophthalmological Society, the Wilmer Residents Association, and the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
