Get to know Obstetrician-Gynecologist Dr. Martin F. Wieczorek, who serves patients in Richmond Heights, Ohio.

A top professional in the field of obstetrics and gynecology, Dr. Wieczorek’s areas of expertise include abnormal uterine bleeding, cervical dysplasia, disorders of the cervix, menopause management, and uterine fibroids. He can be found on staff at University Hospitals Richmond Medical Center in Richmond Heights, Ohio.

University Hospitals Richmond Medical Center, a campus of UH Regional Hospitals, is a 59-staffed-bed acute-care hospital serving the residents of Lake and eastern Cuyahoga counties since 1961. The mission of the hospital is “To heal. To teach. To discover.”

Seeing patients for gynecologic exams, as well as other common and specialized reasons, Dr. Wieczorek is committed to helping them enjoy a healthier lifestyle. He works with each patient to discuss ways they can make better choices for their health. He believes in listening to them and creating a partnership to maintain and improve lifelong health.

Graduating with his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan in 1975, Dr. Wieczorek went on to earn his medical degree from the University of Michigan Medical School in 1981. Furthering his education, he completed his internship and residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the Wayne State University School of Medicine in 1982 and 1985, respectively. 

A Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (FACOG), the doctor is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG). The mission of the ABOG is to define standards, certify obstetricians and gynecologists, and facilitate continuous learning to advance knowledge, practice, and professionalism in women’s health.

Licensed to practice medicine in Ohio, Dr. Wieczorek is affiliated with Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center and University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center.

As an academic, he serves as an Assistant Professor within the Department of Reproductive Biology at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine.
