Dr. Rotter is a reputable dentist and certified Invisalign® provider. He has been with Dental Associates of Northern Virginia for over four decades, practicing at the offices in Fair Oaks, Fort Belvoir, and Falls Church.

Enjoying all phases of dentistry, he especially enjoys applying his clinical skills to restore beautiful smiles.

“Giving a middle-aged person the same healthy, beautiful smile they had when they were a teenager can be very rewarding. I am always struck by how quickly people begin to feel better about themselves.”

A native of New Jersey, Dr. Rotter completed his undergraduate degree at Boston University. He then went on to complete his dental education at the Georgetown University School of Dentistry in 1976, where he taught and lectured part time until 1990. 

For the past two decades, Dr. Rotter has been the onsite dentist at The Fairfax, a Sunrise Retirement Community with over 600 residents, in Fort Belvoir because he enjoys the challenges and rewards of working with the elderly.

Among his professional dental affiliations, he is an active member of the American Dental Association, the Virginia Dental Association, the Northern Virginia Dental Society and the Northern Virginia Implant Society.

Dentistry, also known as Dental and Oral Medicine, is a branch of medicine that consists of the study, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases, disorders, and conditions of the oral cavity. Dentists diagnose and treat dental issues and help patients develop better oral hygiene regimens. They clean teeth, correct bite issues, perform surgeries, create beautiful smiles, and perform other duties to ensure that the teeth and mouth are healthy.

Happily married, Dr. Rotter and his wife, Debby, live in Fairfax Station, Virginia with their 2 dogs and 2 cats. They have three adult children. 

Dr. Rotter’s recreational interests include skiing, biking, gardening and just about any outdoor physical activity.
