Dr. Myerson is a fellowship-trained rheumatologist who is retired from practice. During his active years, he served as the Medical Director of Arthritis & Rheumatology of Georgia, P.C., which he opened in 1982.
Arthritis & Rheumatology of Georgia, P.C. is a privately operated rheumatology practice, conveniently located in the Northside Hospital Doctors Centre adjacent to Northside Hospital in Atlanta. It is committed to providing the community with quality healthcare in an atmosphere of compassion, professionalism, and respect for the patients.
With a broad educational background, Dr. Myerson graduated with his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Emory University in 1973. He then went on to earn his medical degree from Far Eastern University Institute of Medicine in the Philippines in 1977.
Furthering his training in the United States, he began his residency training at the Brooklyn Jewish Hospital and Medical Center in New York in July of 1977. He was appointed Chief Resident during his third year and completed the residency program in June of 1980. Dr. Myerson then did his fellowship training within the Division of Rheumatology-Immunology, Department of Internal Medicine at the Emory University School of Medicine from July 1, 1980 through June 30, 1982.
An expert in his field, the doctor is board-certified in rheumatology and internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.
A Founding Fellow of the American College of Rheumatology, Dr. Myerson is also a member of the Medical Association of Atlanta, the American College of Sports Medicine, the Georgia Society of Rheumatology, the Georgia Chapter of the Lupus Foundation of America, and the Georgia Chapter of the Arthritis Foundation.
Throughout his extensive line of work, he has served on the medical staff as team rheumatologist for the Atlanta Falcons Football Club.
