Dr. Skoff is an accomplished, board-certified orthopedic surgeon whose clinical interests include bone and ligament injuries, tendon and nerve injuries of the hand / upper limb, arthritis surgery, and avascular necrosis. He can be found on staff at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts. 

Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, a part of the Beth Israel Lahey Health System, is a world-class teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School. It was formed out of the 1996 merger of Beth Israel Hospital and New England Deaconess Hospital. The mission of the hospital is “to provide extraordinary care, where the patient comes first, supported by world-class education and research.”

A 1980 graduate of the Yale School of Medicine, Dr. Skoff went on to serve his residencies at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, Yale-New Haven Hospital, and Duke University Medical Center. Pursuing further training, he completed his fellowships at Wexham Park Hospital, Institute Francais de la Main, Kantonsspital Liestal, Rambam Elisha Medical Center, Princess Margaret Rose Orthopaedic Hospital, and Massachusetts General Hospital.

Shortly thereafter, he became board-certified in orthopedic surgery and surgery of the hand by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery, which is an organization with the goal of establishing educational and professional standards for orthopedic residents and surgeons, as well as evaluating the qualifications and competence of orthopedic surgeons. 

With a commitment to academic excellence, the doctor serves as an Instructor of Orthopedic Surgery at Harvard Medical School. Established in 1782, it is the graduate medical school of Harvard University.

Orthopedic surgery is the branch of surgery concerned with conditions involving the musculoskeletal system. Orthopedic surgeons use both surgical and nonsurgical means to treat musculoskeletal trauma, spine diseases, sports injuries, degenerative diseases, infections, tumors, and congenital disorders.
