You likely have conjunctivitis. You should see your eye doctor or primary care doctor for an evaluation and antibiotic treatment. READ MORE
Eyelid twitching?
Eyelid twitching is usually nothing to worry about. It can be the product of stress, caffeine, lack of sleep, etc. If the twitching extends to the cheek or lower face, a condition called hemifacial spasm may exist. It would be wise to discuss this with your physician. An MRI of the brainstem to look for a vascular loop irritating the origin of the facial nerve is indicated. Eye infection?
Please enquire with your ophthalmologist as to whether you have a blocked tear duct. This can often cause recurrent conjunctivitis. READ MORE
What can I do for eye pain after cataract surgery?
You must discuss this with your surgeon immediately to ensure that you do not have an infection or elevated eye pressure. READ MORE
Severe eye pain and blurriness?
Yes! You could have an eye infection that is bacterial or viral or other conditions that need treatment. Please go to the ER or your eye doctor asap. READ MORE
Outer eye corner?
You may have a small infection or even a sty in the outer corner of your eye. I would suggest that you use a warm compress and even a very small amount of bacitracin ointment. Be careful not to put it into your eye. If the area does not improve, please contact your ophthalmologist or family doctor for an evaluation. READ MORE
Can you fix a lazy eye?
You may be able to straighten the eye surgically but unable to restore equal vision in both eyes. Please see an ophthalmologist that specializes in crossed eyes or strabismus to determine the best treatment for you. READ MORE

Can blurred vision be cured?
There are many reasons for blurred vision. Some, such as cataracts or a refractive error (the need for glasses), can be treated successfully. Can chlorine permanently damage eyes?
*Chlorine bleach can cause permanent damage to the nerves and tissue in your eyes.* If you get bleach in your eye, take it seriously. Remove your contact lenses and any eye makeup while you rinse your eye copiously with large amounts of water to remove traces of the bleach. Then, get to the emergency room or your eye doctor to make sure your eyes won't sustain permanent damage. They will also rinse your eye and check to see if you have any eye damage. READ MORE
How long does it take to completely heal from cataract surgery?
In general, an uncomplicated cataract surgery heals in 6 weeks or so. There may be issues specific to you that could influence this timing. Please discuss these explicitly with your surgeon. READ MORE
Can you see cataracts in the mirror?
Unless your cataract is quite advanced leading to a white pupil you cannot see a cataract in the mirror. Please have your eyes examined by an Ophthalmologist to determine if you have cataracts. READ MORE
Is my very visible superficial temporal artery a sign of giant cell arteritis?
Temporal arteritis is not defined by the visibility of the vessel, but certain signs and symptoms. To rule out this condition you should have a sedimentation and C-reactive protein drawn. If elevated in conjunction with temple pain, weight loss, jaw pain, even vision loss a temporal artery biopsy could be performed to diagnose this condition. READ MORE
Do eye drops help tired eyes?
Yes. Over the counter artificial tears can help ocular fatigue. Additionally, allergy drops may be useful if someone experiences ocular discomfort from seasonal or other allergies. READ MORE
