Dr. Dever is a fellowship-trained allergist-immunologist who is a part of the team of professionals at Allergy & Asthma Care of Fairfield County, LLC. She operates out of the offices in Fairfield and Monroe, Connecticut.
For optimal care of her adult and pediatric patients, she believes that clear and open communication are essential. She works steadfastly with each patient to develop an action plan that encompasses all of their health needs while minimizing the use of medication through education and avoidance measures.
Throughout her academic career, Dr. Dever graduated with honors from the University of Notre Dame with a degree in Psychology. She then went on to earn her medical degree from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine and trained in internal medicine at the University of Connecticut Health Center. After completing her fellowship training in allergy and immunology at the University of Michigan, she published her research in food allergies.
Following her fellowship, Dr. Dever joined Advanced Specialty Care in Danbury, Connecticut where she worked for six years and was well regarded by patients and staff. After taking some time off to be with her young children, she was thrilled to join Allergy & Asthma Care.
Specializing in the medical treatment of adults, she is board-certified in adult and pediatric allergy and immunology by the American Board of Allergy and Immunology (ABAI). The ABAI establishes qualifications and examines physicians to become recognized specialists in allergy and immunology.
Furthermore, she is board-certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.
In good standing with a number of professional organizations, Dr. Dever is an active member of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology, the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, and the Fairfield County Medical Association. She is also affiliated with Bridgeport Hospital and Danbury Hospital.
