Dr. Olekszyk is a renowned otolaryngologist who has proudly provided ear, nose, and throat services for over 30 years to the Western Sussex County community. He has done so through his private practice – Nanticoke Ear, Nose, and Throat Associates, P.A., and at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital in Seaford, Delaware.
Some of the services that he offers include otorhinolaryngology, allergy testing and treatment, audiology evaluation and services, treatment of balance disorders, facial plastic surgery – including lesion removal, head and neck surgery, as well as sleep apnea treatment.
Following the completion of his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1985, Dr. Olekszyk went on to serve his rotating internship at Riverside Hospital. In 1990, he completed his residency in otolaryngology at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, where he served as Chief Resident.
Since 1991, Dr. Olekszyk has been serving as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Otolaryngology / Head and Neck Surgery at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Among his professional affiliations, he is a member of the Medical Society of Delaware, the Sussex County Medical Society, the American Osteopathic Association, the Delaware Osteopathic Medical Society, the Delaware State Medical Society, the Phi Sigma Gamma Fraternity, the PCOM Alumni Association, St. Joseph’s University Alumni Association, the Nanticoke Physicians Organization, and the Delaware Academy of Otolaryngology.
In addition to being a Fellow of the American Osteopathic Colleges of Ophthalmology and Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, Dr. Olekszyk is board-certified through the American Osteopathic Board of Ophthalmology and Otolaryngology. It is a joint organization that provides board certification to qualified DOs who specializes in the medical and surgical treatment of the eye (ophthalmologists) and to qualified DOs who specializes in the medical and surgical treatment of the ears, nose, and throat (otolaryngologists).
Pertaining to the doctor’s most notable achievements, he was inducted into the Nanticoke Memorial Hospital Physician Hall of Fame. The Hall of Fame recognizes and honors physicians who have served their communities with dedication and distinction and who have made significant contributions to the provision and improvement of healthcare in Western Sussex County.
