  • Are acupressure and acupuncture the same?

That's a great question. Acupressure is pressing on acupuncture points with the fingers and thumbs. Acupuncture is stimulating acupuncture points with sterile needles about the thickness of a human hair. They are not usually done at the same time. Acupuncture must be performed by a licensed acupuncturist. Acupuncture is more effective than acupressure. It can target a health problem or disease more precisely. READ MORE

Yes, Acupuncture can be used to treat thyroid diseases. Several studies showed that acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine can be beneficial in treating hypothyroidism. • Can acupuncture help in treating GERD?

The exact cause of acid reflux or GERD, is still unknown. The drugs available do not cure the disease, and they have side effects plus they have limited effectiveness in suppressing the symptoms. Studies have proven the effectiveness of acupuncture in reducing transient lower esophageal sphincter relaxations (TLESRs). This muscle lets food to move to the stomach. In GERD sufferers, this muscle relaxes at the wrong time, letting acid move into the esophagus and initiating the irritating heartburn. In the study an acupuncture point on the wrist reduced the frequency of TLESRs by more than 50% in 1 hour. Now that was with just one point. Imagine what a treatment from an experience acupuncturist could do for your husband's GERD. READ MORE

These are the most effective points for that condition. Acupuncturists have been refining and passing on this knowledge for over two thousand years. READ MORE

Steven has given me fantastic results for RA (Rheumatoid arthritis) that I had tried for five years with MD, expert and other Chinese medicine practitioners. On February of 2018, I went through a terrible nausea, vomiting, fatigue and weakness. My blood test shows Liver Enzymes AST, ALT are almost 3 times higher than normal (131 u/l and 153 u/l). So I brought it to Steven, he gave me a targeted diagnose and treated with acupuncture and customized herbal formula. I stopped nausea, vomiting just after my first acupuncture treatment. Three weeks later, on 3/13/18: my lab test shows: AST, ALT all dropped to normal ( 17 u/l and 27 u/l). ONLY 3 Weeks. He is a real deal!!! Go to see him!
