Dr. Delgado graduated with his medical degree from the National University of San Marcos in Peru, S.A. in 1979, giving him four decades of experience in medicine. After obtaining his medical degree, he relocated to the United States where he completed his Family Medicine Residency at the Danville Family Practice Center in Danville, Illinois and the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Champaign-Urbana.
He remained a Clinical Associate Professor of Family Medicine at the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana until 1988.
He obtained his MBA degree in 1993 at the University of Illinois School of Business in Champaign-Urbana. He practiced Emergency Medicine at a Level 2 Trauma Center in Danville, Illinois for 16 years. He has practiced Emergency Medicine at various locations in the Midwest in the last 10 years.
Dr. Delgado is certified in Emergency Medicine by the American Board of Physician Specialists. To stay up to date in his field, he remains a professional member of the American Medical Association, American Academy of Family Physicians, American College of Emergency Physicians, American Association of Physician Specialists, Peruvian American Medical Society, and the Illinois College of Emergency Physicians.
He practiced as an Emergency Medicine Physician at Union Hospital Clinton in Clinton, Indiana and was an Assistant Professor in Clinical Emergency Medicine, IUSM-Terre-Haute at Indiana University School of Medicine up until 03/10/2019.
