  • What can I do to relieve ankle pain?

    Without an evaluation to determine the cause of the ankle pain it would be difficult to answer this question however in the meantime supportive shoe gear would be my recommendation, well-made sneakers and an over-the-counter ankle brace, Tylenol as needed if there are no contraindications. He began his academic pursuits with a Degree in Biology from the University of Maryland at College Park. Building on this foundation, Dr. Motran pursued a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine Degree from Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Furthermore, he embarked on a residency program that further refined his skills and expertise. His training included foot and ankle surgery at the Baltimore Veterans Affairs Medical Center, where he honed his surgical capabilities and knowledge. Dr. Motran also completed a specialized program in Wound Care at the same medical center, gaining essential insights into wound management and healing. 

Board certified in foot and ankle surgery, he is a Diplomate of the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery (ABFAS). The ABFAS strives to protect and improve the health and welfare of the public by advancing the art and science of foot and ankle surgery.

Among his professional affiliations, Dr. Motran is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association and the American Society of Podiatric Surgeons.
