Get to know Hand Surgeon Dr. Chad J. Nadler, who serves patients in Fresno, California.

Dr. Nadler is a board-certified hand surgeon who specializes in the bones, tendons, muscles, and ligaments of the hand. He performs minimally invasive carpal tunnel surgery, among many other procedures. 

Currently, he is affiliated with Community Regional Medical Center, a 685-bed regional hospital in Fresno, California. It is owned by Community Medical Centers, which is a private nonprofit health system with four hospitals, as well as long-term care and other facilities.  He is also affiliated with Vibra Hospital of Sacramento in Folsom, California. He performs both general surgery and hand surgery procedures at Vibra Hospital.

In 2004, Dr. Nadler earned his medical degree from the State University of New York Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, New York. He then went on to complete his surgical residency at Drexel University and at West Virginia University, followed by his fellowship in hand surgery at the University of Mississippi.

Among the doctor’s accomplishments, he is board-certified in surgery by the American Board of Surgery, an independent, non-profit organization located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, founded for the purpose of certifying surgeons who have met a defined standard of education, training, and knowledge.

In order to stay up to date in his field, he remains a member of the American Association for Hand Surgery, the American Society for Surgery of the Hand, and the American Society for Peripheral Nerve.

Hand surgery deals with both surgical and non-surgical treatment of conditions and problems that may take place in the hand or upper extremity, commonly from the tip of the hand to the elbow, including injury and infection. Hand surgeons typically deal with the diagnosis and treatment of chronic and acute injuries or deformities of the upper extremities. This includes the elbow, forearm, wrist, the hand itself, all fingers, and thumb surgery.

In addition to his extensive medical commitments, Dr. Nadler enjoys running, scuba diving, as well as playing golf, ice hockey, soccer, and tennis. He also enjoys spending time with his wife, two children, and two Labradoodles. He speaks English and limited Spanish.
