Dr. Peters is a native Texan born in Odessa. He is a member of the first senior class from Memorial High School. After high school, he served honorably in the U.S. Army with tours in Europe and Vietnam, after which he was honorably discharged with the rank of Staff Sergeant. After leaving the military, he returned home to Clear Lake, Texas and enrolled at the University of Houston. He graduated with honors with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. Afterward, Dr. Peters attended Baylor Dental School, where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree with honors.  

Dr. Peters has served as Adjunct Professor at Baylor. He has also served as a volunteer dentist for University of Houston athletics and two low-income dental clinics. Dr. Peters is a member of numerous professional organizations, including the Greater Houston District Dental Society, the Texas Dental Association, the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, and other volunteer organizations.

Dr. Peters is a member of University Baptist Church where he serves as a deacon, Sunday School teacher, and Mission Team leader. His passion for mission work is demonstrated by leading groups annually to build churches in remote areas. He has done so for over 30 years. Dr. Peters’ ties to family, church, and community run deep throughout the Clear Lake area.

Dentistry, also known as Dental and Oral Medicine, is a branch of medicine that consists of the study, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases, disorders, and conditions of the oral cavity.
