Get to know Urologist Dr. George T. Zahorian III, who serves patients in Hershey, Pennsylvania.

Dr. Zahorian III, a qualified urologist, is trained to diagnose and treat the various disorders and diseases relating to the urinary tract in both men and women, also specializing in the reproductive system in males. He is the owner & operator of Coca Urology Associates in Hershey, Pennsylvania.

At his office-based urologic practice, he specializes in treating adult and geriatric patients using state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment. His areas of focus include non-invasive procedures for prostatic obstruction, prostatic enlargement, urinary stress incontinence, and urodynamic testing.

Graduating with his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1975, Dr. Zahorian III attained board certification in urological surgery through the American Osteopathic Board of Surgery (AOBS). The AOBS is an organization that provides board certification to qualified Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine who specialize in the use of surgery to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of disease.

In the doctor’s professional experience, he is affiliated with Geisinger Medical Center, Penn State Health Holy Spirit Medical Center, UPMC Pinnacle Harrisburg, and Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center.

Advancing his efforts, he is a Fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons (FACOS) and a member of the American Osteopathic Association.

Urology, also known as genitourinary surgery, is the branch of medicine that focuses on surgical and medical diseases of the male and female urinary-tract system and the male reproductive organs. Urologists specialize in diseases of the urinary tract and the male reproductive system. Patients may be referred to a urologist if their physician suspects they may need treatment for a condition relating to the bladder, prostate, urethra, ureters, kidneys, and adrenal glands. 

In honor of his 45+ year clinical expertise, Dr. Zahorian III has been the recipient of several awards and honors. These include: Compassionate Doctor Recognition (2014), Patients’ Choice Award (2014, 2017), and On-Time Doctor Award (2014, 2017).
