A man of many titles, he sees patients at Magnolia Counseling Clinic, an all-inclusive, patient-centered mental health clinic that warmly welcomes patients in Batesville, Mississippi. Dr. Edwards also serves as the Medical Director of CARE Clinic with offices in Southaven and Grenada, whose mission is to provide high quality, outcome focused drug/alcohol addiction recovery and mental health services that empower individuals to attain a lifestyle characterized by independence, personal health, and prosperity.
With a passion for addiction medicine, his love for treating substance use disorders comes across to each of his patients. As a result, he has successfully treated many people suffering from the disease of addiction.
On his educational path, Dr. Edwards graduated with his Bachelor of Arts degree from Middlebury College in 1994. He then went on to earn his Master of Science degree from Louisiana State University in 1999, and his medical degree from Latin American School of Medicine in 2005.
With an unwavering commitment to his specialty, the doctor is board-certified in addiction medicine by the American Board of Preventive Medicine, a member of the American Board of Medical Specialties that issues “certificates of special knowledge” in the specialty of preventive medicine.
To boot, he is board-certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.
The American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASMA) and the American College of Physicians (ACP) have honored Dr. Edwards with the distinguished “Fellow” status.
