Why does my jaw hurt when I wake up in the morning?
Most likely it is due to "grinding" your teeth at night. A well made night guard should solve the problem. FYI, drugstore ones usually don't work and are quite bulky and uncomfortable. Hope that this helps. READ MORE
Ways to get rid of TMJ pain?
Good question. Since this topic is controversial and often debated among dentists, I will keep it simple. TMJ pain is usually either muscular (over 95% of the time) or due to an internal derangement of the joint itself (breakdown of the joint). A well made mouth guard (night guard type) appliance is almost always effective. I don't recommend getting one from a pharmacy or online. They rarely if ever work and can be very bulky. See a dentist for one. They are not cheap, but well worth the cost. FYI, I have successfully treated these cases for over 35 years so that speaks for itself. Hope this helps and that you get better. How can I help my cracked tooth?
You should see a dentist there. If you cannot and are having pain, you may try an over-the-counter sedative-type filling. It may help. If the tooth is broken, but you do not have any pain, then you may be able to make it home without incident. However, seeing someone there is still your best option. READ MORE
