John J. Rush, MD, MBA, MHA, is the Chairman and CEO of Arthritis Knee Pain Centers in Washington, DC. In addition to this position, he takes on a businessperson role as an age management physician insurance expert with Cenegenics Global Health. An expert in knee and orthopedic medicine, Dr. Rush was also the Chief Medical Officer of Hanger, Inc, a premier provider of prosthetics located in Austin, Texas. Dr. Rush has both a Masters in Business Administration as well as a Masters in Health Administration, to go along with his medical knowledge and expertise. He also owns the patent for the Bandage Bag, a disposable apparatus that is the first of its kind to provide PICC line treatment in a portable way. This provides an easy way for these patients to bathe, as well as other basic functions. With Arthritis Knee Pain Centers, Dr. Rush is part of a 14 practice administration that serves over 20,000 people in the Washington DC area. It is his goal to treat patients’ knee, orthopedic, and arthritis problems with the newest technologies.

With a broad educational background, Dr. Rush obtained his Bachelor of Science degree from Kent State University in 1983, and graduated with his medical degree from the Northeast Ohio Medical University in 1987. He completed his internship and residency in emergency medicine at the Loma Linda University Medical Center in 1990, and went on to complete his Master of Business Administration degree (MBA) and his Master of Health Administration degree (MHA) from Pfeiffer University.
Emergency medicine, also known as accident and emergency medicine, is the medical specialty concerned with the care of illnesses or injuries requiring immediate medical attention.
