Get to know Orthopedic Surgeon Dr. Stephen W. Dailey, who serves patients throughout the State of Ohio.
Dr. Dailey is an Ohio-based emergency physician affiliated with UC Health Physicians, serving patients in the Cincinnati, Ross and West Chester areas. He also serves as an Assistant Professor with UC Health Orthopedics & Sports Medicine and Emergency Medicine, and is the Fellowship Director for the University of Cincinnati Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship Program. His clinical interests include emergency related sports medicine injuries, head injuries and general musculoskeletal care.
With a broad educational background, he graduated with his medical degree from the Ohio State University College of Medicine, and completed his residency training in emergency medicine at the University of Cincinnati. Finally, he completed his fellowship in primary care sports medicine at Ohio State University.
Subsequent to his education, the doctor attained board certification in emergency medicine and primary care sports medicine through the American Board of Emergency Medicine (ABEM). The ABEM is one of 24 medical specialty certification boards recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties.
Emergency medicine, also known as accident and emergency medicine, is the medical specialty concerned with the care of illnesses or injuries requiring immediate medical attention. An emergency physician works in an emergency department to care for acutely ill or injured patients on an unscheduled basis.
As a testament to his success, Dr. Dailey has been the recipient of the Compassionate Doctor Recognition (2018, 2017, 2016), Patients' Choice Award (2018, 2017), On-Time Doctor Award (2018, 2017), Team Physician Award by The Ohio Athletic Trainers Association (2000), Faculty Teaching Award (1994) and Fellowship Award (1994) by The Ohio State University, Department of Emergency Medicine.
