Born in Pikalevo, Russia, Dr. Bikhman grew up in Siberia and came to the United States in 1993. She did her undergraduate studies at L.I.U., majoring in Biology, and then went on to attend medical school at the New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine.
After earning her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree in 2002, she furthered her training with a residency in internal medicine at Lenox Hill Hospital, which she completed in 2005.
That same year, she attained board certification in internal medicine through the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine (AOBIM). The AOBIM is an organization that provides board certification to qualified Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine who specialize in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of disease in adults.
Among her academic appointments, Dr. Bikhman serves as an Adjunct Instructor within the Department of Medicine at NYU Grossman School of Medicine.
