Get to know Emergency Medicine Physician Dr. Leslie W. Hardware, who serves patients in Bethesda, Maryland.

Dr. Hardware is a board certified emergency medicine physician who is affiliated with The Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. Formerly known as the National Naval Medical Center,The Military Medical Center is a United States tri-service military medical center and one of the most prominent U.S. military medical centers in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, having served numerous U.S. presidents since the 20th century.

Dr. Hardware is also affiliated with Adventist HealthCare Washington Adventist Hospital, a 204-licensed bed acute care facility in Maryland. Dr. Hardware earned his medical degree from the Howard University College of Medicine in 1976. Thereafter, he went on to complete his internship and residency at Howard University.

Dr. Hardware is board certified in emergency medicine by the American Board of Emergency Medicine (ABEM). The ABEM certifies emergency physicians who meet its educational, professional standing, and examination standards. The mission of the ABEM is to ensure the highest standards in the specialty of Emergency Medicine. 

Dr. Hardware is also board certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.
