After obtaining her Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from Ursinus College, Dr. Rippert graduated from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine as a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her residency in internal medicine at Osteopathic Medical Center of Philadelphia and fellowship training at Graduate Hospital, also in Philadelphia.
Dr. Rippert was in private practice starting in 1997 when she began practicing in Dover, Delaware. In 2006, she opened Delaware Heart & Vascular, P.A. in partnership with Dr. Vincent D. Abbrescia. The practice later joined Bayhealth Medical Group in 2019.
A Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC), Dr. Rippert is board certified in cardiovascular disease by the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine (AOBIM). The AOBIM is an organization that provides board certification to qualified Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine who specialize in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of disease in adults.
Cardiology is the study of the heart. It is a branch of medicine that deals with disorders of the heart and the cardiovascular system. The field includes medical diagnosis and treatment of congenital heart defects, coronary artery disease, heart failure, valvular heart disease, and electrophysiology.
