With a summa cum laude graduation from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and a medical degree from the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth / Brown School of Medicine, Dr. Kennedy went on to complete his residency in internal medicine and fellowship in cardiovascular disease at the Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. His accomplishments include being recognized as a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and obtaining board certifications in cardiovascular disease and internal medicine through the American Board of Internal Medicine.
Prior to his current role, he served as the Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Lab at Kaiser Permanente in San Rafael, California, where he spearheaded the Heart Alert Program, setting a national standard for treating heart attack patients efficiently.
A prolific author, Dr. Kennedy has penned several influential books on heart health and stress management, including “The 15 Minute Heart Cure,” “The Heart Health Bible,” “Healing Your Heart from Inside Out,” and “Big Mind, Brave Heart, Bright Future.”
Throughout his career, he has been honored with prestigious awards such as the Solomon Scholar Award by UCLA-Harbor Medical Center (1995), Physician of the Year by UCLA-Harbor Medical Center (1995), Laverna Titus Young Investigator Award by UCLA-Harbor Medical Center (1995), America’s Top Cardiologist Award (2006), and Bay Area’s Top Doctors Award by Consumers Checkbook (2007).
