Specializing in general dentistry, Dr. Mondshine places an emphasis on temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders, an area in which he is recognized as a regional expert. He has been in private practice in Forest Hills, New York for nearly forty years. He works alongside his father, Dr. Stanley Mondshine, who founded the practice and mentored him along the way. 

In addition to general and restorative dentistry, Dr. Mondshine treats TMJ and chronic pain patients every day, using a non-surgical, physical therapy-based approach to relax the muscles and restore the health of the jaws. He is also an expert in the full assessment and treatment of dental, jaw, and neck trauma due to car accident injuries. 

He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from New York University in 1975, after which he continued his dental training as an extern at Mary Immaculate Hospital in Jamaica, New York.

In order to stay up to date in the field of dentistry, Dr. Mondshine remains a member of numerous professional organizations, including the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the New York State Dental Association, the Queens Dental Society, the Second District Dental Society, the New York County Dental Society, the American Academy of Craniofacial Pain, the American Equilibration Society, the American Academy of Pain Management, the American Academy of Head, Neck & Facial Pain, and the International College of Cranio-Mandibular Orthopedics.
