Get to know Neonatologist Dr. Bryan W. Darling, who serves patients in Somers Point, New Jersey.

Dr. Darling is a fellowship-trained neonatologist serving as the Medical Director of the Special Care Nursery at Onsite Neonatal Partners, Inc. in Somers Point, New Jersey.

Prior to his current endeavours, he served as Medical Director of Neonatal Intensive Care and Medical Director of Women’s and Children’s Respiratory Care at Pediatrix Medical Group of Mississippi (June 2015 – January 2021), and as Medical Director / Neonatal ICU/ Medical Director of Women’s and Children’s Respiratory Care at Natchez Trace Neonatology, PA (July 1997 – January 2021).

A 1987 graduate of the Medical College of Georgia, Dr. Darling went on to perform his internship and residency at Naval Medical Center in 1988 and 1990, respectively. He followed this up with a fellowship in neonatal-perinatal medicine at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in 1993.

A Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, the doctor is board-certified in neonatal-perinatal medicine by the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP). The ABP exists to promote excellence in medical care for children and adolescents. Certification represents dedication by pediatricians, pediatric subspecialists, and pediatric trainees to the highest level of professionalism in patient care.

In his professional experience, Dr. Darling is affiliated with Shore Medical Center, Baptist Memorial Hospital-Memphis, Methodist Hospitals of Memphis, and North Mississippi Medical Center-Tupelo.

Neonatology is a subspecialty of pediatrics that consists of the medical care of newborn infants, especially the ill, or premature newborn. It is a hospital-based specialty and is practiced in neonatal intensive care units. Neonatologists generally diagnose and treat newborns with conditions such as breathing disorders, infections, and birth defects, as well as coordinating care and medically managing newborns born prematurely, critically ill, or in need of surgery. 

Among Dr. Darling’s most notable achievements include Patients’ Choice Award (2018, 2017, 2014), Compassionate Doctor Recognition (2018, 2017, 2014), and On-Time Doctor Award (2018).
