Get to know Pediatrician Dr. Moniruzzaman Khan, who serves patients in Michigan.

Well-versed in the field of pediatrics, Dr. Khan is in practice with Hamtramck Pediatrics, seeing newborns, pediatrics, and teenagers. He can also be found on staff at Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak.

Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak opened on Jan. 24, 1955. Today, it is a major academic and referral center with Level I adult trauma and Level II pediatric trauma status. Its mission is to provide compassionate, extraordinary care every day.

Regarding his educational background, Dr. Khan earned his medical degree from Sher-e-Bangla Medical College in Bangladesh in 1978. After relocating to the United States, he completed his residency in pediatrics at the Henry Ford Hospital, and his fellowship at the Hospital for Sick Children.

A Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics (FAAP), the doctor is board-certified in pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP). The mission of the ABP is to advance child health by certifying pediatricians who meet standards of excellence and are committed to continuous learning and improvement.

Licensed to practice medicine in Michigan, Dr. Khan is affiliated with many other hospitals, including DMC Harper University Hospital, Children’s Hospital of Michigan, Henry Ford Macomb Hospitals, and St. Joseph Mercy Oakland Hospital.

Pediatrics is the branch of medicine that involves the medical care of infants, children, and adolescents. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends individuals be under pediatric care up to the age of 21. Pediatricians provide medical care to people ranging in age from newborns to young adults. They are trained to examine, diagnose, and treat children with a wide variety of injuries and illnesses through all of their developmental stages, as they grow and mature.

As a testament of his dedicated patient care, Dr. Khan received the Compassionate Doctor Recognition Award in 2015.
