Get to know Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon Dr. Juan C. Troconis, who serves patients in Austin, Texas.

Dr. Troconois is an exceptional oral and maxillofacial surgeon with over a decade of experience in the field. He currently sees patients at the cutting-edge implant center, Central Texas Oral Surgery associate with affiliation to Rain Dental Implant Centers, operating out of the office in Austin, Texas.

Delivering the highest level of care, Dr. Troconis is known for his gentle and compassionate approach, always striving to improve his patients’ quality of life. He specializes in a variety of surgical procedures, including dental implants, wisdom teeth removal, jaw surgery, and reconstructive surgery.

Originally from Caracas, Venezuela, Dr. Troconis completed his full scope oral and maxillofacial surgery training program at the University of Puerto Rico. After finishing his residency, he joined the department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Metrohealth Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio. As the only Level 1 Trauma Center of Northeast Ohio at the time, he gained extensive experience clinically and academically. 

After several years, Dr. Troconis decided to take an opportunity to transition to private practice in Austin, Texas in order to serve the local community.

Among his professional affiliations, he is a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and the Texas Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.  

Oral and maxillofacial surgery specializes in surgery of the face, mouth, and jaws. It is an internationally recognized surgical specialty. Oral and maxillofacial surgeons are dental specialists who treat conditions, defects, injuries, and esthetic aspects of the mouth, teeth, jaws, and face. Their training involves a four-year graduate degree in dentistry and the completion of a minimum four-year hospital surgical residency program.

Outside of work, Dr. Troconis enjoys spending time with his family and participating in outdoor activities. He is also involved in several community service organizations and volunteers his time to provide dental care to underserved populations.
