Renowned Pediatrician Continues to Impact Healthcare and Education in Arkansas

Originally established in 1984 by Dr. C. Wesley Kluck, the Arkadelphia Clinic for Children & Young Adults aimed to provide expert pediatric care to the children of Arkadelphia and the surrounding areas. Dr. Kluck, a respected figure in the medical field, has dedicated his career to serving the community through his exceptional medical skills and commitment to excellence.

After many years of dedicated practice at the clinic, Dr. Kluck transitioned to focus full-time on his roles at Ouachita Baptist University. Today, he divides his time between his administrative responsibilities at the university and providing urgent care for students.

Dr. Kluck’s journey in healthcare began at Ouachita Baptist University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Math, Chemistry, and Biology in 1977. He furthered his education at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences College of Medicine, graduating with his Medical Degree in 1981. After completing his pediatric training at Arkansas Children’s Hospital in 1984, he returned to Arkadelphia to establish the Arkadelphia Clinic for Children & Young Adults.

Throughout his illustrious career, Dr. Kluck has held various prestigious roles, including University Physician and Team Physician at Ouachita Baptist University since 2005 and 1986, respectively. He also serves as the Medical Administrator for Ouachita Athletic Trainers and the Athletics HealthCare Administrator, showcasing his dedication to both healthcare and sports medicine. 

At Baptist Health Medical Center-Arkadelphia, Dr. Kluck is an active staff member and has been since 1984, as well as the Chairman of the Credentials Committee since 2015. He is also an Emeritus Member of the Arkadelphia Rotary Club, where he has been an active member since 1985.

As an active member of the medical community, Dr. Kluck is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatrics and is affiliated with esteemed organizations such as the Arkansas Medical Society and the Clark County Medical Society. His contributions have not gone unnoticed, as he was recognized as one of Arkansas’ 250 Most Influential Leaders in 2022 and named the Arkadelphia Area Chamber of Commerce “Person of the Year” in 2021.
