Subsequently, Dr. Vizzone went on to complete his residency in orthopedic surgery at the Cabrini Medical Center (New York Medical College) and Peninsula Hospital Center, and served as a Visiting Resident at the Alfred I. DuPont Institute. He also completed a one year residency in general surgery at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, and an osteopathic internship at Metropolitan Hospital – Parkway Division.
Following his training, the doctor is board-certified in orthopedic surgery by the American Osteopathic Board of Orthopedic Surgery, which is an organization that provides board certification to qualified Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine who specialize in the medical and surgical treatment of disorders of the musculoskeletal system.
