Dr. Dalforno, a board-certified pediatrician, founded Waring Court Pediatrics in 1980 and the name was changed to Waring Court Pediatric & Adult Medical Group in 1999. Located in Oceanside, California, the practice is committed to providing comprehensive, high-quality, and affordable medical treatment for the whole family. Services range from general medical to specialized and state-of-the-art treatments, working to promote good health and wellness in a professional and caring environment.
Since 2001, Dr. Dalforno has been the President & CEO of Greater Tri-Cities. Until recently, he was also an active member on staff with Tri-City Medical Center since 1978.
Among his professional affiliations, he is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society, the San Diego County Medical Society, and the California Medical Association.
A 1969 graduate of the Creighton University School of Medicine, Dr. Dalforno went on to complete his residency at Highland General in Oakland, California & Oakland Naval Hospital. He was stationed at Camp Pendleton until 1977 when he resigned his commission in the regular Navy and founded El Camino Pediatrics in Encinitas where he was for 2 years prior to moving to Oceanside.
A Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, the doctor is board-certified in pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP), which is one of the 24 certifying boards of the American Board of Medical Specialties. Founded in 1933, the ABP is an independent, nonprofit organization whose certificate is recognized throughout the world as a credential signifying a high level of physician competence. Certification by the ABP has one objective, to promote excellence in medical care for children and adolescents.
Pediatrics is the branch of medicine that involves the medical care of infants, children, and adolescents. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends people be under pediatric care up to the age of 21. As a pediatrician, Dr. Dalforno provides medical care to people ranging in age from newborns to young adults. He is trained to examine, diagnose, and treat children with a wide variety of injuries and illnesses through all of their developmental stages, as they grow and mature.
Although he is looking forward to retirement in the near future, setting a date has been very hard for Dr. Dalforno to do. He has had a very rewarding career taking care of infants to young adults and seeing them grow and mature.
In his personal life, he resides in Carlsbad with his wife, Patricia. He has one daughter, three sons, one step-son, and six grandchildren. He enjoys traveling, especially in his RV, and boating.
