Dr. Marc Gainor has been in the private practice of dentistry for 38 years. He graduated with a BA in Biology from the University of Pennsylvania in 1977 and received his DMD degree from the University Of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in 1981. He then completed a post graduate General Practice Residency in Dentistry in 1982.
In 2006 Dr. Gainor was awarded the title of "Master" of the Academy of General Dentistry and was also recently awarded with the Lifelong Learning and Service Recognition Award for his continuing education achievements and service to organized dentistry. Dr. Gainor has completed the Pankey Institute restorative continuum, the Spear Institute mastery continuum and has taken advanced coursework at the Dawson Academy, and the Strupp Postgraduate School of Dentistry.
Dr. Gainor has taught courses locally and nationally on the subjects of Occlusion, TMD, Treatment Planning and Restorative Design. He is currently Visiting Faculty at the Spear Institute in Scottsdale Arizona, and has held appointments as Clinical Instructor at both the University of Pennsylvania and New York University.
Dr. Gainor is a member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the Academy of Osseointegration, the American Equilibration Society, the New York Academy of Dentistry, the New England Masters Study Club, the Occlusal Concepts Study Club, and the Rockefeller Center Study Group. Dr. Gainor is also an honorary Fellow of the American College of Dentists, a Fellow of the International College of Dentists and a Fellow of the Pierre Fauchard Academy.
