Get to know Dentist Dr. Samuel S. Wakim, who serves patients in Clermont, Florida.

Dedicated to personalized care, Dr. Wakim works with patients at Clermont Lakes Dental Care in Florida. While he uses the latest dental technology, he maintains a personal rapport with his patients that has the feel of a small-town dentist. Whether he is at the grocery store, a little league game or anywhere else in town, he is ready to answer all dental process questions.

The team at Clermont Lakes Dental Care believe the best kind of dentistry is doing the least amount of dentistry necessary. They work to resolve any dental issues right away so they do not grow into a bigger or more expensive problem for their patients.

Educated in the United States, Dr. Wakim received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry from Indiana University at Bloomington. He then went on to complete his Implant Preceptorship and his dental education at the University of Texas Health Science Center Dental School at San Antonio. He has completed over 1700 hours of continued dental education since 1990.

Achieving fellowship status, he is a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (FICOI), and Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD). He is the former President of the Dental School Alumni Association of UT Health, San Antonio; and former Executive Committee Member of the California Dental Association PAC.

On a professional level, Dr. Wakim is an active member of the American Dental Association, the Florida Dental Association, the Central Florida District Dental Society, the Florida Academy of General Dentistry, the American Academy of Clear Aligners, the Academy of Laser Dentistry, the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, the Disney Institute Leadership Alumnus, and the Bell’s Leadership Alumnus.

Dentistry, also known as Dental and Oral Medicine, is a branch of medicine that consists of the study, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases, disorders, and conditions of the oral cavity. Dentists diagnose and treat dental issues and help patients develop better oral hygiene regimens. They clean teeth, correct bite issues, perform surgeries and extractions, and perform other duties to ensure that the teeth and mouth are healthy.

As a testament to his success, Dr. Wakim has been recognized as a Gold Plus Invisalign® Provider (2018-2022).
