  • Can a chiropractor help with a dislocated shoulder?

Yes, a chiropractor may help a dislocated shoulder. We work with joints. The shoulder is a joint that can be misaligned, and it can gently be put back in place. It may take a little time for the surrounding tissue to become un- inflamed, which using ice right away could help. Again, yes the chiropractor may help a dislocated shoulder. READ MORE

  • How often should I get adjusted by a chiropractor?

Everyone is different, and your chiropractor should be able to answer that question by your third visit. This way, the chiropractor can see how you respond to care after 2 visits. You may feel much better after the first 2 visits, you may feel no change, or you might feel worse after 2 adjustments, but that doesn't usually happen, but it's a sign that your muscles and vertebrae may have been misaligned for a long time, which may call for more treatments to correct your problems. • How long does a pinched nerve in the neck last?

How long has the problem existed? If it just happened recently (acute), or it's been there for a long time (chronic). The longer the pinched nerve has existed, the longer the muscles have adapted to being weak or out of shape, the longer it may take to rehabilitate. #2. The patient's stress can affect the tightness of the muscles. Ever notice the more stress we are under, our shoulders start getting pulled up towards our ears? No reason other than stress affecting our muscles and how tight they may be unless we do something to relax the stress. Yoga, meditation and chiropractic care can help and Chiropractic care can get your neck back in shape, getting rid of the pinched nerve. In many cases, the chiropractor will do an examination and a treatment to see how the patient would respond from it. After a couple treatments, the chiropractor can see how the patient is coming along and will then come up with a schedule and what they think would be needed to take care of the person's pinched nerve in their neck, which can also cause things like neck pain, headaches, shoulder/arm/hand/finger pain and numbness, and an assortment of other symptoms that you may never expect happening from a pinched nerve in the neck. Great question and a very involved question, I'm trying to make it as short as possible, but all in all, it can take anywhere from 1 visit to 6 months, depending on how willing the patient is to work with the doctor and do what the patient has to do to help the problem out. After a couple visits, the Chiropractor will let the patient know how long they feel it will take to take care of your problem. READ MORE

  • How long does it take to fix bad posture?

It depends on how long the posture has been bad. Some infants are born with a curvature of the spine, called a scoliosis. That can happen at any time of ones life, we can develop a scoliosis If your posture is bad, then the muscles attached to the area of poor posture are also tightening keeping the posture bad until you start working on it. Everyone is different, sizes, stress, how long the posture has been bad, so depending how committed the patient is anywhere from 2 to 12 weeks, which will include Chiropractic care, exercises for specific muscle groups, causing severely tight muscles in the area of poor posture, allowing the muscles to relax, allowing the posture to relax. Some physical therapy can be used, which can relax and strengthen the involved muscles. Once again depending on how hard the patient is willing to do their work it could take 2-12 weeks of care.
