After completing an internship in general surgery at the State University of New York Health Science Center in Brooklyn in 1996, he remained there to complete his residency in otolaryngology in 2000.
In pursuit of clinical excellence, the doctor is board-certified in otolaryngology by the American Board of Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery, which serves the public by ensuring that diplomates meet the standards of training, knowledge, and professionalism through initial and continuing certification.
Active in academia, Dr. Patel serves as an Adjunct Assistant Professor within the Department of Otolaryngology at the NYU Grossman School of Medicine.
Among his other roles, he serves as Chairman of the Medical Board at The New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai, having previously served on the Medical Board as Surgeon Director and Secretary. He can also be found on staff at the NYU Langone Medical Center.
