A current resident of Monmouth County, Dr. Lesser was born in New Jersey and has spent the majority of his life in the Garden State. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree & his Master of Science in Public Health degree from Tulane University in 1993 and 1995, respectively.
In 1999, he graduated with his medical degree from the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine. He then went on to perform his residency in internal medicine and his fellowship in gastroenterology at Cooper University Hospital in Camden, New Jersey in 2002 and 2005, respectively.
For two decades, Dr. Lesser has taken impeccable care of a myriad GI patients throughout the area. He can be found on staff at Saint Michael’s Medical Center in Newark, New Jersey.
Dr. Lesser is board-certified in gastroenterology by the American Board of Internal Medicine, a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.
Holding fellowship status, he is a Fellow of the American College of Gastroenterology & a Fellow of the American Gastroenterological Association.
