Dr. Goldstein leads a dual career as a practicing physician specializing in ophthalmology and as a health law attorney aiding physicians in managing their legal issues.

Regarding his educational background, Dr. Goldstein started his acclaimed career in medicine by earning his medical degree from SUNY Downstate College of Medicine in 1974. He went on to complete his internship in internal medicine at UCLA Medical Center – Los Angeles County Harbor, followed by his residency in ophthalmology at Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center in 1979. Finally, he completed his cornea fellowship at the Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital in 1980, and his Doctor of Law degree from Pace University School of Law in 2007.
With more than 40 years of experience in his field, the doctor is board-certified in ophthalmology by the American Board of Ophthalmology (ABO). The ABO is an independent, nonprofit organization responsible for certifying ophthalmologists (eye physicians and surgeons) in the United States.
Ophthalmology is a branch of medicine and surgery, which deals with the diagnosis and treatment of eye disorders. Ophthalmologists are experts in the diseases, functions, and anatomy of the eye.
