Prior to his current endeavours, Dr. Saragovi served as an Assistant Professor at Temple University Hospital from 1980 until 2000. It is the chief clinical training site for the Temple University School of Medicine. In 1985 and when mammography was in its infancy, he collaborated in developing this new specialty at Elkins Park Hospital. In the year 2000, Dr. Saragovi took a new position in Albert Einstein Medical Center and then he joined the Department of Mammography under the direction of Dr. Debra Copit, specialty that he continues to practice at the present time and in the same institution.
A member of the Society of Breast Imaging and the Radiological Society of North America, Dr. Saragovi is board-certified in diagnostic radiology by the American Board of Radiology (ABR). The ABR is a not-for-profit physician-led organization that oversees the certification and ongoing professional development of specialists in diagnostic radiology, interventional radiology, radiation oncology, and medical physics.
Back in 1964, Dr. Saragovi earned his medical degree from the University of Buenos Aires in Argentina. Upon relocating to the United States, he went on to complete his internship and residency at Einstein Medical Center Philadelphia. In 1971, Dr. Saragovi completed his training in Radiology, Interventional Radiology and Ultrasound. In 1975, he took a position at Elkins Park Hospital (former Rolling Hill Hospital) developing the sections of Interventional Radiology and Ultrasound and opened the Ultrasound School for Technologists, he held those positions for over 20 years.
