Dr. Obiadi is an accomplished pediatrician specializing in pediatric emergency medicine. He is affiliated with UM Prince George’s Hospital Center, an acute care teaching hospital and regional referral center in Cheverly, Maryland. It is a part of the University of Maryland Capital Region Health.
In his current capacity, Dr. Obiadi is also affiliated with MedStar Harbor Hospital, a private nonprofit, 150-bed, acute care teaching hospital in Baltimore City, Maryland, as well as with Park Place Primary Care in Laurel, Maryland.
Throughout his academic career, he earned his medical degree from the University of Jos – Faculty of Medical Science in Nigeria in 1983. Wanting to further his education, he relocated to the United States. Once there, he completed his internship and residency in pediatrics at Howard University Hospital in Washington, D.C. in 1992 and 1994, respectively.
In 1997, the doctor became board-certified in pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP), which is one of the 24 certifying boards of the American Board of Medical Specialties. Founded in 1933, the ABP is an independent, nonprofit organization whose certificate is recognized throughout the world as a credential signifying a high level of physician competence. Certification by the ABP has one objective, to promote excellence in medical care for children and adolescents.
Pediatrics is the branch of medicine that involves the medical care of infants, children, and adolescents.
