Get to know Orthopedic Surgeon Dr. Sebastian Peers, who serves the population of Carmel, Indiana.
Dr. Peers completed his undergraduate degree from Wabash College where graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Chemistry in 2004. He then graduated from the Indiana University School of Medicine with his Medical Degree in 2008, giving him over a decades worth of experience in his field. After obtaining his Medical Degree he completed his Orthopedic Surgery Residency with the William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan. Wanting to continue his training he Hand and Upper Limb Surgery fellowship with the Cleveland Clinic. He is one of the first three physicians nationwide to complete this type of comprehensive fellowship in surgery of the shoulder to the fingertip.
Dr. Peers is currently board eligible and a candidate member of the American Society for the Surgery of the Hand and an active member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons. He specializes in surgery of the hand, wrist, shoulder, and elbow and open and arthroscopic shoulder surgery including rotator cuff repairs and shoulder replacements. He sees patients with degenerative joint disease, trauma, nerve compression, and sports injuries. He specializes in Current Position: Dr. Lorenze currently practices with Northeast Medical Group, and is affiliated with St. Vincent’s Medical Center and Bridgeport Hospital. Within the Northeast Medical Group she works as an Internist and Infectious Disease specialist within the Pri-Medical branch.
