Dr. Kane is a licensed clinical psychologist who specializes in developmental and neuropsychological assessment. She has been providing services to children and families for over two decades, most recently at KL Kane Assessment, LLC in Madison, Wisconsin.

Dr. Kane offers consultation and comprehensive evaluations to children and adolescents for concerns related to developmental, cognitive, behavioral, social-emotional, and psychological functioning, with particular specialty in assessment of neurodevelopmental disorders, autism spectrum disorders, learning disabilities, and psychiatric disorders. Having excelled academically, Dr. Kane obtained her Doctor of Philosophy degree in Clinical Psychology with a minor in Developmental Psychology at The Pennsylvania State University in 2002. She completed both a pre-doctoral internship and a post-doctoral fellowship in clinical child/pediatric psychology at Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago (formerly Children’s Memorial Hospital). 

Since completing her training, Dr. Kane has worked within the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Northshore University HealthSystem Medical Group (formerly Evanston Northwestern Healthcare), within the Autism and Other Developmental Disabilities Clinic at the Waisman Center, University of Wisconsin-Madison, and Madison Psychiatric Associates (MPA).

Dr. Kane has been a co-leader and guest lecturer in undergraduate and graduate level courses regarding assessment, she has participated in research pertaining to the biological determinants of brain variation in autism, and she has been an ad-hoc reviewer for The Clinical Neuropsychologist, a premier journal. Dr. Kane is a member of the American Academy of Clinical Neuropsychology (AACN), the International Neuropsychological Society (INS), and the National Academy of Neuropsychology (NAN).

In her free time, Dr. Kane enjoys spending time with family and friends. She enjoys traveling, baking, reading, and bike-riding.
